What is it?
It’s a clock
that tells
a visual story.
Introducing Flippik – a new flip style clock that uses over a hundred sequential illustrations to create a new time-telling experience.
A flip book
combined with
a flip clock.
Along with a traditional time display, Flippik shows an evolving visual narrative, telling a story in realtime.
The passing of each minute reveals a new image in the scene displayed on the clock face. Time is visually animated with pictures as well as numbers.
The idea.
What if instead of just numbers a flip clock could display images as well? Time could be read not just as an analogue of numerals but as a scenic image depicting the time of day.
The image could then advance through a series of sequential images, “animating” as time progressed.

Who we are.
We are a husband and wife design team with over 40 years of experience between us. In that time we have worked at design agencies as well as heading our own design studio. We have worked with established clients as well as start ups. We have experience taking products, campaigns and brands from concept to market with rollouts both locally and internationally.
Every project we’ve worked on has been a case study leading to this moment. We have amassed a wealth of experience with each successful project launch. It is this experience we wish to leverage now into our own IPO. Our relationships built with vendors, our experience planning milestones and meeting deadlines – all these skills and more we bring to the table, but above all our love for design!
Progress
Where we are now.
The clock has been designed. The prototypes has been made. All vendors have all been selected and manufacturers have been secured. Shipping partners have all been selected and logistics are accounted for. All we need from you is backing to fulfill our MOQ (minimum order requirement) and then we can begin production.
It has been a long road from when we first started and we’re excited to see how far it’s come. Please support the last leg of our journey by backing us on Kickstarter so we can bring Flippik into you!
*Final product may not be exactly as shown. We will be tweaking the illustrations to increase contrast and legibility in the final version to bring you a better product. Nothing big. Only good things.

The Kickstarter price for Flippik will be $x.xx USD. After that, the retail price for Flippik will be $x.xx USD.
We plan to launch our Kickstarter campaign in *month/year. After the campaign ends and our funding goal has been reached (fingers crossed!) we expect 3-5 months for manufacturing and shipping to all our backers.
The clock housing is made from metal which is then painted. The flaps are made from ABS plastic and are offset printed. The internal components are mostly plastic and metal. The clock movement is quartz.
Flippik is designed and created in Vancouver, Canada. Our manufacturer facility is located in Guangzhou, China.
